night
i used to do a lot of night photography. not successfully often, but i did it. night photography is difficult with film. you never know what you have, and adjustments are made in the dark (literally and figuratively) but the occasional good result was worth it.
wow is digital easier.
i like night photography for the weird light, both in quality/color, and angles. it is also very peaceful to do.
at some point in my life i became convinced that night was only unsettling to people because of the lack of light, and if you could see, it would be just like day. makes sense, right? but the camera can gather enough light to see, and somehow night time is still very unsettling....
all of these photos have no color correction from RAW, and at most less the .5 stops exposure compensation.
